what you are printing on now
your order starts with someone else's garment. gildan, bella+canvas, comfort colors. you can change the print, but the fit, the weight and the label are already decided.

WHY WE
STARTED.
we built our own clothing brand and hit every wall you can imagine. chasing factories, waiting on samples, overpaying for blanks, unclear pricing, high minimums. the process was messy, expensive and draining.
so we looked for an easier way. printing companies, pod suppliers, local printers. those had their own problems. all of them start from the same stock garments, and the fabric, the fit, the weight and the construction are none of them yours to decide. that is why most merch ends up looking and feeling like everyone else's.
we started ashtray studio because you shouldn't have to settle for someone else's blank, gildan, bella+canvas, whatever is off the shelf, just because building your own seemed too complicated. so we built stitch lab to make it simple.
FAQ.
ten units per color. not ten in total: ten of one garment in one color, and you can split those across sizes however you like.
yes, that's the whole business. send a sketch, a reference garment, or a full techpack and we draft the pattern from it. we'll tell you honestly if something won't sew well before you pay for a sample.
we'll draw one with you for €50, invoiced once you submit your project; the techpack follows once it's paid. the €50 is deducted from your bulk order when you go ahead with production. three revisions are included, further revisions are €10 each, and the drawing is yours to keep even if you never produce with us.
it depends on fabric, detail and quantity. a 220 gsm tee at fifty units and a 380 gsm zip hoodie at ten are different animals. configure it in stitch lab and you'll see a costed breakdown, line by line, within one working day.
